Treejer Protocol

Last updated September 1, 2020

Treejer protocol functions as a link between those who want to fund reforestation and those who supply it, but it has a unique approach. It empowers people to save the planet. Local communities are directly paid by individuals and businesses to plant and sustain trees. As the trees grow, the funders get Treejer's blockchain-based carbon-credit in the form of an ERC-20 token. They can spend it within the protocol, use it to offset their carbon footprint or sell it to companies and individuals interested in carbon offsetting. The tokens get burned when they're used. Our model focuses on both environmental and social impact for a sustainable development. A portion of tree funding goes to Rural Development Fund which is a crypto fund giving automatic and recurring zero-interest micro-loans to improve local sanitation, children education, healthcare and entrepreneurship. We aim to make Climate Action more affordable, sustainable, transparent and inclusive.
